The next generation DiagnosticPRO Advantage offers several technological advances that provide customers with increased "up-time", resulting in improved productivity and revenue. Higher speed, image quality, and reliability are just some of the new features of the DiagnosticPRO Advantage. With a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) rate of over 50,000 hours, a modular film feeder, and a field-replaceable LED illuminator system, these innovations contribute to the highest reliability among digitizers on the market. A number of patents have been filed based on these advances, setting a new standard in medical film digitizer performance.
In addition to higher image quality and consistency, the DiagnosticPRO Advantage is designed for increased speed. It digitizes film twice as fast as previous models and can digitize up to 25 mixed-size films in batch mode—providing more productivity and greater efficiency, key benefits for radiology department personnel. The digitizer features proprietary High Definition CCD (HD-CCD) technology and sophisticated digital electronics. The unique Automatic Digitizer Calibration (ADC) system prompts the digitizer to self-calibrate before every film, eliminating user intervention and ensuring excellent grayscale reproduction with minimal variation.
With high-resolution capabilities (44.5 microns), the DiagnosticPRO Advantage can digitize mammography films and offers larger spot size options for general radiographic, CT, MR, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine films. It exceeds the American College of Radiology Teleradiology Practice Guidelines. Additionally, VIDAR offers the only 32-bit data path in the industry, maximizing grayscale accuracy and performance.
