The Barco MDRC-1219 is noted for its sharp, bright picture with high contrast and consistency, thanks to the proprietary front-of-screen consistency sensor that automatically aligns image quality across the screen every time the monitor is turned on, regardless of location or ambient lighting. Having guaranteed identical images makes cross-institutional collaboration easier between medical professionals at different sites. This sensor also results in faster power-up and stable brightness levels.

With an 8-bit (DVI) or 10-bit (DisplayPort) look-up table, broad ranges of colors and grays can be shown on the 19-inch, 1MP screen, resulting in highly accurate images. Additionally, the monitor boasts a unique aspect ratio of 5:4 and a wide viewing angle of 178°. For added user comfort, the monitor can also pivot and tilt.
